Indigo dyed

Indigo is chemically produced based on color components derived from natural indigo (Ai). Compared to the natural one, it is clearly easier to use. For instance, it takes more than ten times to dye deeply with the natural, indigo requires just a few times of dyeing to the same depth of color. We use indigo in various ways but it is the most popular to dye each garment manually.


Imerge clothes in indigo colorant, rub enough, wring, and spread to expose them to the air. You will see color change from green blue to beautiful indigo blue by oxidation. This procedure is repeated a few times to make the color deeper and finalized by neutralization and washing to fix the indigo color. As all the phases are done manually, each garment has various texture.
